Lunar Eclipse of October 8th 2014 /
Totale Mondfinsternis vom 8. Oktober 2014

The total lunar eclipse of Wednesday October 8th 2014 was visible late night from the Tri-Valley Stargazer observing site near Livermore California.
Following telescopes were used to observe the event.
- 100mm-400mm telephoto zoom lens with Canon 350D

100mm F8 Fl=820mm refractor with Canon 350D
-
130mm F6.3 Fl=820mm refractor with 1.4x tele-converter yielding F8.8 Fl=1150mm
with Canon 450D
Exposures and ISO setting were adjusted to show the illuminated as well as the dark portion of the moon. Exposures were automatically timed with gphoto2 (Link) and custom scripting.
Die totale Mondfinsternis vom Mittwoch 8. Oktober 2014 wurde vom Beobachtungsort der Tri-Valley Stargazer, Kalifornien beobachtet.
Die Aufnahmen wurden mit folgenden Teleskopen und Objektiven gemacht
- 100mm-400mm Telezoom Objektiv mit Canon 350D

Belichtungszeiten und ISO wurden angepasst, um die beleuchteten und verfinsterten Teile des Mondes zu zeigen. Die Belichtungen wurden automatisch mit gphoto2 (Link) ausgelöst und durch ein Script gesteuert.
